Haute buy: Maeve Tsuga Skirt at Anthropologie
In the midst of all the cutesy party dresses, skirts often get overlooked. While most skirts are of the casual or office variety, there’s a few that can do double duty at the office and later at the holiday party. We found this wool and ribbon Tsuga Skirt by Maeve that with the right top and accessories can take the place of your holiday party dresses. Made of polyester and wool, this moss green A-line skirt features appliqued ribbon in an all-over geometric grid pattern. Pair with a black silk pussy-bow blouse, black pumps and gold statement jewelry and you’re all set for after work...

Haute buy: Aqua ‘Klingon’ Peplum Skirt
Peplum-style dresses are so haute right now. While a full peplum dress might be too over-the-top for every day wear, you can still rock the trend with this Aqua ‘Klingon’ Peplum skirt. This uniquely embellished skirt offers a futuristic take on peplum style, with a high fitted waist and structural, tailored bottom, with a peplum ‘flare’ at each hip. It comes in four colors (white, black, nude and orange) that you can mix and match with casual or dressy tops, whichever fits the occasion. We think the orange skirt paired with a chambray button down would make a fun weekend...

Haute Off The Runway: Chanel Fall 2011 Couture collection
Chanel‘s Fall 2011 Couture collection is everything you’d imagine a Chanel collection to look like. There were tons of boxy-cut tweed jackets, pencil skirts and peplum-style suits, plus mid-length wool coats. The entire collection was full of menswear-inspired silhouettes and heavy on fabrics (tweed, wool, feathers, chiffon, mesh and satin were often paired) with dark colors like black, gray and navy reigning throughout, plus a few touches of winter white and hot pink.
A few of the more adventurous pieces lived up to their couture label. More peplum-style dresses were made of interesting...

The Mother Denim Fall 2011 Lookbook is full of ‘Unicorns’, ‘Maidens’ and ‘Drama’
This year, the unofficial award for best 70′s-style flared denim goes to Mother. With a name like Mother, you’d expect a line full of ‘mom jeans’, but that’s not at all what you’ll find. Launched in 2010 by Lela Tillem and Tim Kaeding (former execs at 7 for All Mankind and Citizens of Humanity), Mother had some of the hottest selling jeans (and are arguably some of the sexiest denim that debuted this year), Mother ‘The Drama’ Wide Leg Jeans. Aside from the great name, The Drama jeans were praised for their amazingly flattering and amazingly...

Get her haute look: Selita Ebanks at the Hangover 2 screening
It’s great when stars dress in clothes that the average woman can actually afford. Love it or hate it, Selita Ebanks rocked an interesting look to the screening of The Hangover 2 at Landmark Sunshine Cinemas, hosted by The Cinema Society & Bing. The Victoria’s Secret Angel and supermodel wore an outfit that on anyone else, might look ‘granny’, but she worked it and rocked it. And each of the pieces in her look ranged in price from $30-$750, so there’s something that every woman can buy! She paired a silk printed kimono blazer with a collared lace top, high-waisted...

My style: Got the Blues (Denim shirt + Gap skirt + Rebecca Minkoff bag + Tory Burch platform sandals)
I’m loving the rebirth of the denim/chambray shirt. Back in the day I had so many different types of them, and got rid of them all. But like everything in fashion, it’s now back in style. I love the drawstring waist on this shirt (anything that cinches your middle is a must-have). I planned to pair it with denim jeans but went with a skirt instead since the weather was gorgeous today! Hope you were out enjoying it too!
What I wore: Sunglasses: Fendi, Leather earrings: Random vendor, Denim shirt: Prototype, Scarf: Risto, Turquoise necklaces: Free People and Soixante Neuf, Watch:...

Celeb style: Rihanna and Heidi Klum in ‘Pleasure Doing Business’ Pinstripe 3 Band Skirts
It’s safe to say that bandage skirts aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Hervé Léger returned us to the era of the form fitting bandage dress and now bandage skirts are following suit. Celebrity trendsetter Rihanna, along with Heidi Klum clearly have the same sense of style – we recently featured them rocking the Martin Grant Flat Snake Chain Necklace, and now they’ve both been spotted wearing the Pleasure Doing Business Pinstripe 3 Band Skirt. And it’s easy to see why – this second-skin silhouette creates curves even if you don’t have them, and embraces...
