Haute bauble: Tuleste Market Double Sunburst Pendant Necklace

Tuleste Market has been on our accessory radar since last year because we just can’t get enough of the eclectic designs that makes each piece look and feel special. Designers and sisters, Satu and Celeste Greenberg, are inspired by their re-worked vintage finds, and thrift store mentality with high-fashion attitude. Although it’s hard to choose a favorite piece of their jewelry, the Tuleste Market Double Sunburst Pendant Necklace is definitely one of our must-haves! It’s a mix of 14K gold, silver and rhodium plated base metal with two beautiful sunbursts on a tube chain. The...  Read More..

My style: Stylin’ with the Citizen Eco-Drive Silhouette Crystal Bangle watch – perfect for Valentine’s Day gifts!

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I’m coming across tons of products to give and get. The fine folks at Citizen sent over this beautiful Ladies’ Citizen Eco-Drive Silhouette Crystal Bangle watch and if I didn’t already have one (thanks, Citizen), I’d definitely ask for it as a Valentine’s Day gift. I love that it’s delicate and pretty and very lightweight. With all the arm candy I like to pile on my left arm, it’s nice to have a small, chic timepiece on my right. It features crystals in the bezel that adds a glam factor, but is still perfectly...  Read More..

My style: Going for the gold (Yellow cardigan + Zara metallic jeans + Cleobella ‘Kaya’ Bucket bag + Charles David suede platform pumps)

There are those fashion essentials you need, and there are those you simply want. And there are those that fit into both categories. I never in my life thought I’d need or want metallic gold jeans, yet they appeared on Zara.com a few months ago and suddenly I both wanted and needed them badly. Once they arrived, I wondered, “What does one wear with gold jeans?” Well, here’s the answer: What I wore: Sunglasses: Versace (gifted) (get a similar pair here), Yellow cardigan/sweater: Unknown (gifted) (buy a similar version here), Long-sleeved tee: H&M, Link necklace: Ben-Amun...  Read More..

Sponsored: My style – Rockin’ SOFIA by Sofia Vergara for the weekend

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara certainly isn’t shy about showing off her body. So it’s no surprise that her fashion line, SOFIA by Sofia Vergara is full of curve-hugging, figure flattering pieces, like sultry bustier dresses, ruffled miniskirts, ruched leggings, sexy surplice tops, fitted jeans and more! Glam gifted me with a gift card to shop the new Sofia Vergara collection at Kmart, and I went to check out the line in person. I immediately was drawn to the jersey dresses but given the fact that I dress up every day during the week, I like to rock a casual yet chic on the weekends....  Read More..

My Style: Birds & Sparkles (Zara top & crystal platforms + Missoni for Target skirt)

My accessory addiction knows no bounds, so no matter what store I’m in, I hit up the accessories section first. On a recent shopping trip to Zara I spied these crystal-studded platform slingbacks (that the photos do NO justice – they’re so much more beautiful in person) and I just had to have them. Of course there was only one pair left in my size so that was my sign! There was no way I was sleeping on these babies – they were coming home with me. And I also grabbed this multicolored bird print tee. Paired it with a pleated black maxi skirt and a leather biker jacket for...  Read More..

My Style: Early Thanksgiving (H&M top + ASOS skirt + kate spade bag + Charles David platform pumps)

I spent the weekend before last with my family, in-laws and family friends celebrating Thanksgiving – two weeks early! Typically my Thanksgiving look is all about comfort but since this was a special occasion with guests aside from my family, I dressed up – just a bit. This Aztec-patterned Skater Skirt is from ASOS, and I paired it with a denim shirt from H&M (though I have my eye on this one from ASOS). I also got to take out my newly purchased kate spade bow bridge kennedy bag. It is one of the most perfect handbags I own – the shape, size, structured body, tan color and...  Read More..

My Style: What to wear to a baby shower (Tucker for Target dress + Zara sandals + Kooba bag)

Typically baby shower attire consists of little more than jeans and a shirt for most, but when the mommy-to-be is a fashionista, you know you have to step your game up. I recently attended my friend Adrienne’s baby shower last week and I knew that she and my other stylish friend Carmen would look uber-fab, so I decided to forgo my typical weekend top and jeans routine. I bought this Tucker dress last year when Target re-released dresses from its GO International Designer Collections. I really fell in love with the print and the red color. It was a cool day so I paired it with tights and...  Read More..

My Style: Hudson Jeans & What’s Haute support Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

When Hudson Jeans reached out and asked if What’s Haute would help spread the word about their breast cancer awareness initiative, I jumped at the chance. I have family members and close friends that have been directly affected by the disease, so supporting breast cancer research and awareness and helping to find a cure has long been a personal cause of mine. During the month of October, Hudson Jeans will donate $5 from every pair of jeans sold on Hudsonjeans.com to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. One in 8 U.S. women (approximately 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer in their...  Read More..

Haute and about: What’s Haute at the Nicole Miller x Indego Africa cocktail party

We rave on and on about endless designer collaborations but the most important ones are the ones that enable us to truly give back. Last night I attended a cocktail party at the Nicole Miller boutique in SoHo to celebrate her partnership with Indego Africa (Independence. Development. Governance.), an organization that partnered with Cocoki (Cooperative de Couture de Kicukiro), a sewing cooperative of over 40 women in Kigali, Rwanda. This is Nicole’s second collaboration with Indego and at Tuesday night’s event I got the chance to chat with two of the women involved with the partnership....  Read More..

My Style: Orange Pop (Hawke & Co. trench + UK Style by French Connection top + J. Crew pants)

Gloomy days call for a pop of color, don’tcha think? In college, I used to be that girl that would always wear all black. Not sure what I had against color, since my high school wardrobe was PRETTY COLORFUL. Thank goodness there are few photos. But throughout college, I donned all black, pretty much all the time. Black is still the color I fall back on but I see myself opening up to more and more brightly colored pieces.  Depending on your figure, bright pants can sometimes be a scary thing but I found these flame-colored J. Crew Minnie stretch twill pants to be very figure-flattering. On...  Read More..

My Style: Peplum 2011 (Kersh top + Zara jeans & sandals + Jimmy Choo Mahala/Maddy bag)

On one of the perfect, sun-filled days we had at the end of the summer, I pulled out this Kersh printed peplum-style top. Admittedly, I was never really a fan of the style – peplum dresses always conjure up images of awful eighties style to me – particularly the clothes Jackée Harry wore while playing sassy “Sandra Clark” on 227. Not to say that she wasn’t stylish back then – she was; but I think certain styles from the 80′s fashion archives are best left in that era. Fast-forward to 2011; peplum-style dresses have made a major comeback. I’m still...  Read More..
