I’ve been so impressed with Ramona Singer’s jewelry line for HSN. With each collection she offers, I find new and exciting pieces I want to add to my jewelry box. While her latest line isn’t available just yet, she did offer a sneak preview at the impressive Mizu Salon NYC on April 27th. Amid the luxurious Park Avenue salon, guests viewed the gorgeous jewelry, as they mixed and mingled with Ramona, her daughter Avery and the salon’s owners, Vaughn Acord and Damian Santiago. A “one-carrot” ring and more from the “Tough Love” bridal collection by Solange Azagury-Partridge

Let’s keep it real – every girl wants a couple of carats on her finger. That’s ‘carats’ though, not ‘carrots’. Jewelry designer Solange Azagury-Partridge ’s new “Tough Love” 30-piece bridal collection pokes fun at a girl’s best friend by replacing a diamond with a carrot atop one ring. Other cheeky pieces include a double decker diamond ring and a diamond-studded lips ring.

The launch will take place in May in the form of a bridal shower at the designer’s studio – complete with cocktails and manicures. Prices range from $1,500-$226,000.

Ed: The ‘one-carrot’ ring would make a fun addition to my upcoming wedding day. Alongside my multi-’carat’ ring, of course.

Tropically-inspired: the Nehita Pineapple necklace

Lately we can’t shake the thought of a nice, beachy vacation from our minds. Maybe it’s the ‘lion/lamb’ March weather that’s getting to us, but we can’t help but yearn for blue skies, sunny, sandy beaches and yummy pina coladas. Get their haute baubles: Rihanna and Katy Perry at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards

BFF’s Rihanna and Katy Perry glammed it up on the orange carpet at Nickelodeon’s 23rd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards. Rihanna wore a Christian Dior dress with nude Brian Atwood heels and sparkly ankle socks, rows oof necklaces and accessorized with a Sutra Jewels diamond ring. Katy Perry wore a very Rihanna-esque outfit - a racy rainbow-colored, corseted chainmail peacock dress by The Blonds. She accessorized with Christian Louboutin sparkly wedge-heeled shoes and a Carrera y Carrera peacock ring.

UPDATE: While performing, Rihanna also rocked David Yurman’s Chevron Black Diamond Tag and Pave Diamond Dogtag necklaces, both in sterling silver.

Exclusive Rachel Roy + Estelle Facebook pop-up shop

At last year’s Fashion’s Night Out, I visited the RACHEL Rachel Roy pop-up store and it was amazing. There was a graffiti wall, a drag queen DJ, celebrity appearances and of course, Rachel Roy’s hot collection of apparel and accessories for Macy’s. Well, if you didn’t get a chance to make it, don’t worry – next week Rachel will be hosting a digital pop-up store on her Facebook page.

Rachel Roy, along with singer (and her close friend) Estelle, created a limited-edition jewelry collection. If you’re her fan on Facebook, you’ll get a chance to preview – (and shop!) the collection before it even goes into stores. The pop-up shop launches on February 9 and will stay open for only three days. You’ll have the chance to buy Rachel and Estelle’s collaborative jewelry collection includes funky rings, ear cuffs, and statement necklaces. Prices will range from $34 - $50. Plus, you will get the chance to buy an ultra-exclusive full-finger petal ring that was designed for Rachel & Estelle’s closest fashion and music friends. Thakoon debuts modern pearl and diamond baubles for Tasaki

June babies got the short end of the stick being born in June. No gemstone to speak of, just a pearl for a birthstone. Yes pearls are rare and beautiful but we’ve never felt compelled to buy them. Until now. Thai designer Thakoon Panichgul was recently named creative director of Tasaki, a high-end Japanese jeweler and this week debuted his line of pearl jewelry and diamond jewelry for the company. The result is a modern take on pearls - edgy gold bands with several pearls dangling from a necklace, pearls on two-finger gold rings, safety-pin accessorized lariat necklaces and chain-link bracelets.

Thakoon told Women’s Wear Daily: “I really wanted to just go back to the DNA of what Tasaki’s about, which is beautiful pearls, beautiful materials and beautiful diamonds. I wanted to put some youthful spirit into pearls.”

The line will be available in April at Tasaki’s Ginza, Tokyo store. Love the looks, but - get ready to clutch your pearls - prices start at $5,577 up to $39,041. Guess we’ll be embracing Thakoon’s take on our birthstone from afar.
