I remember when Shonda Rhimes debuted her “Year of Yes” book – a memoir where she detailed how she began saying yes to everything that scared her. It was a great reminder that we all have the power to change our lives with a simple change in your outlook.

As 2018 comes to an end, naturally we all start reflecting on the year that’s about to end, and begin looking ahead to the year that’s about to begin. As I look back on this year I see one constant: I was incredibly happy! And that wasn’t by accident! I made a decision at the end of last year that I would choose happiness, no matter my circumstances. And this by far has been the happiest year of my life! Even though I had both ups and downs this year, I maintained my happy and positive outlook and really saw my circumstances change for the better. I changed my thoughts, my words, and in turn – my life!
2018 has been such a blessing that I almost don’t want it to end. But I’m already planning ahead to 2019, and if I don’t make any other resolutions for the New Year, the one thing I vow to do is continue to live happy. And I have to say, happiness looks good on me!
