OOTD & OOTN: The Mullet Dress

When I buy new clothing, they fall into one of three categories:
1. Work-friendly
2. Comfortable
3. Fun fashion

As I get older, I have a lot less of the third category hanging in my closet, but it’s still my favorite, because what’s the point of buying new clothes if they don’t ‘wow’ you?! When I recently won a $200 gift certificate to Chicwish, my goal was to stock up on some fun and trendy pieces, since that’s what the site is full of and known for. This Demure Green Striped Open-back Dress was one item that immediately caught my eye. I call it the mullet dress – it’s all business in the front, and a party in the back! I could easily throw on a blazer and wear it to a slightly more conservative event; then take the jacket off to reveal that sexy back for a more relaxed occasion. Everything about this dress is fun and fashionable: the thick scuba material, the blue and green stripes, the cutout back, of course, and the full skirt.
