If Rihanna never makes another album again, she’ll be just fine. The singer has become more of a business mogul anyway, dropping fashion collaborations left and right! In the past few years, she’s partnered with Puma, Stance Socks, MAC, and River Island, just to name a few. The girl knows how to work, work, work, work, work, work! Her latest collab is one that makes sense (if you follow her fashion and style evolution). She’s partnered with single sole shoe guru, Manolo Blahnik. You know, that designer who became iconic after being shouted out on Sex and the City about a grillion times?!
The duo has collaborated on the upcoming “Denim Desserts” Spring shoe collection. The line features six, limited edition styles all made of denim, embroidered with beads and sequins, inspired by Rihanna’s hand tattoos. The standout pair, worn by Rihanna on the cover of the upcoming issue of British Vogue, are the “9 to 5” thigh high denim boots. They come complete with a belt to fasten around the waist, plus the following warning from Rihanna: “If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don’t wear them boots! You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are trouble.” For anything designed by Rihanna, and priced at almost $4K, we’d expect nothing less than a little trouble!
The collection drops May 5 at Manolo Blahnik stores in New York, London, and Hong Kong. Prices range from $895 – $3,995.
