It’s always a good sign when you try out a new beauty product and start hearing things like “Wow, you look amazing! Did you do something different?” or “You’re glowing! What did you use?” I try to refrain from asking “What, did I look like some sort of ogre before?” and just focus on the fact that my new beauty routine is getting some positive feedback!

I recently received a tube of Rimmel London’s Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation, to review. It’s the ‘first mousse in a tube’ and goes on lightweight and leaves your skin flawless. That means no caking and no shine. One of my beauty problems is oily skin in the T-zone, so I definitely was up for taking Rimmel’s ‘Stay Matte Challenge’.

I first cleansed my skin (always start with a clean palette!), then moisturized the dry areas. Then I applied the liquid makeup all over my face. It went on easily and definitely tamed the oily parts of my skin. If you’re looking for the perfect matte foundation, this is it! The liquid mousse texture feels lightweight and controls shine to create the perfect matte finish! I chose the ‘Sand’ color from the Rimmel website. I applied a lot so it went on fairly light in color, so I added some bronzer on top to create a more natural look. But it works just as well as standalone makeup!

Besides the fact that it evened out my oily skin, Rimmel London’s Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation also flawlessly concealed several blemishes I have on my cheeks and chin. It’s something I’m always trying to cover up and this product did it, easily!
