The YSL Design House plans to return to its origin – Yves Saint Laurent’s rebranding effort includes changing its name to Saint Laurent Paris. The 1966 brand was originally known as Saint Laurent Rive Gauche. We hope the name change doesn’t confuse loyal customers. (The Cut)
Narcisco Rodriguez designs collection for Kohl’s after traveling to Istanbul – The mass retailer’s new DesigNation program allows each designer to choose a city to visit before designing a capsule collection for Kohl’s. “It was a really interesting idea to travel somewhere you had never been to before, and get your inspiration from a place that wouldn’t normally be in your comfort zone, bring that back and turn it into a collection,” Rodriguez told WWD. The collection launches in November and features outerwear, tops, dresses, and knits priced at $30 to $150. (Elle)
