I love to take current trends and mix them up in a way that works in my wardrobe every day! Kohl’s tasked me with creating a look based on this Spring’s ‘Shine’ trend – for under $100. As I shopped the store, I realized this was no easy task – there were tons of options to choose from! After perusing pretty much every rack in the store and passing up a stunning sparkly dress from the Jennifer Lopez Collection, (sadly it was out of the budget), I finally selected some rocker-chic separates from the Rock & Republic and LC Lauren Conrad lines. The key piece I purchased to represent the ‘Shine’ trend was a tan and gold Sequin Embellished Tank top by Rock & Republic. It could be dressed up or down – with jeans for day or a sparkly skirt for evening. I chose to rock it with a black and white LC Lauren Conrad Tuxedo Blazer, black skinny jeans by Rock & Republic and cream and black studded sandals, also from the Rock & Republic line. I loved the complete look but also loved the fact that I can pair each of these pieces with other items in my closet. I can’t wait to begin mixing and matching them this Spring!
