When it comes to designer collaborations, Target is the certified leader. But unlike Target’s previous collaborations (Rodarte, Calypso and Mulberry, and the upcoming Missoni line), the recently announced one isn’t for women or juniors – it’s for babies, children and tweens. Singer, fashion designer and style icon Gwen Stefani is partnering with Target to launch Harajuku Mini – a version of her Japanese anime-inspired Harajuku Lovers collection but for the kids.
Stefani commented:
“Harajuku Mini is a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the supercute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan. The whole idea is about being creative, expressing your own individuality and having fun getting dressed. Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid’s clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices.“
The collection will appear in Target stores and on target.com starting in November and will range in price from $3.99 to $29.99. There’s no word yet on what the line will be comprised of but we’re picturing tons of supercute mini-Gwen Stefani gear.
Will you shop the Harajuku Mini line for your kids?
