She’s known for her voluptuous figure and burlesque routine but Dita Von Teese is also known for her gorgeous skin. She recently shared her beauty regimen with New York Times Style Magazine, T, to dish on her 1940′s-era beauty with celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow. If you were wondering how to achieve her striking eye makeup, flawless matte skin and perfectly polished red pout, here’s how, from the star herself:

Eyebrows: Just For Men hair dye to darken light brows — “I’m kind of a do-it-yourself person as far as my hair, makeup and styling go.”

Eyes: Dior ‘Diorshow’ mascara to lengthen and Guerlain Divinora eyeliner to create a ‘cat eye’ — “Stay in shape with it. When I go a while without putting it on, it’s always rough at first. But when I’ve been applying it daily, it’s “whooosh;” it goes on seamlessly. Generally, getting that perfect, flattering line is hard!”

Face: Dior Capture Totale Foundation, MAC Mineralize Powder, and Creme de la Mer face cream to create a smooth, matte face — “Always glowing is not my thing. A matte finish diffuses any features about my face that I’m not comfortable with, while shine highlights them. It’s like soft-focus magic.”

Lips: Dior ‘Diorific’ lipstick in ‘Dolce Vita red’ to give a pop of color to a matte face – “Flawless skin is the most important thing, then red lips. In exactly that order.”

And she adds that you shouldn’t “underestimate the cosmetic power of sunglasses.” Her choice? A “quality pair, like Dior or Louis Vuitton.”
