Look all around you and you’ll see the stirrings of the holiday season – decorations, candy canes, lights, and holiday-themed apparel all abound. But you won’t find any snowman covered sweaters at H&M. (Thank goodness!) In the H&M Holiday 2010 collection, instead you’ll find a cute selection of perfect party dresses, adorable accessories, chic separates and shoes, all for men, women and children.
I browsed through H&M last night, checking out these pieces firsthand and came away with the tailcoat blazer which is part costume-y, part practical. I plan on wearing it throughout the holiday season and beyond – with a feminine dress, jeans and a scarf, slacks – pretty much any and everything! It’s that versatile. Like always, H&M’s separates are best layered so you can mix and match their jackets, dresses, skirts, tops and pants with some haute red pumps or other shoes, a bow belt or jeweled headband, and super affordable baubles. There’s a great selection of goodies for men and children too, including top hats, velvet slippers, and flirty dresses.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s Head of Design, commented on the collection, saying “Tailcoats can be worn with a long skirt and a lingerie-inspired top, or over a feminine dress, or even with jeans and a T-shirt glammed up with bright red high heels. Hair accessories add a special twist this winter. I love the sequin and feather accessories, and there’s also a lot of beautiful jewelry.”
There are tons of options to choose from and of course, the prices won’t hurt your wallet! So you can treat yourself AND others! Check out some of the pieces from the H&M Holiday 2010 collection below. (And don’t forget to shop Lanvin for H&M on November 20!)
