Ports 1961 is known for its knits but the Spring 2009 collection took a minor turn from the usual. The brand chose liquid fabrics and metallics for its collection.   Tracey Reese’s love of all thigs feminine was on full display in her Spring 2009 collection. The designer stuck to a palette of largely neutral colors with splashes of peach. Her shapes were ultrafeminine – tulip skirts paired with form-fitting cowl necked tops, drop-waisted dresses and flouncy above-the-knee floral print skirts paired with scoop neck blouses. Gottex’s nautical-inspired Spring 2009 show was its usual display of art meets fashion. Swimsuits were plafully designed with eye-popping colors and artful shapes.
