Works of art are typically reserved for museums, where you can see various Picasso’s, Monet’s, and Warhol’s on display. But art is also visible in everyday life – on the street, at the movies, and in Sang A’s handbag collection.
Sang A is a New York-based designer whose collection is composed of a dizzying array of jewel-toned works of art. Fashioned from glossy python and lizard skins, and shimmering satins, the handbags are superbly crafted, opulent, and simply luxurious. The entire collection is breathtakingly beautiful, but the following four bags really caught my eye:
The 'Max' is a circular, pleated hobo, made of high-gloss python skin. ($2,695)

The 'Ilana' is a quirky quadrilateral-shaped envelope clutch, with a peek-a-boo flap of contrasting python. ($1,795)

The 'Jade' is an elegant pleated satin clutch clasped with vintage gold hardware. ($925)

The 'Alexandra' is a rainbow-striped evening bag with a bar handle top snap. ($895)
